The Tudor Falcon

Tudor meme. Feel free to submit your own!

redroseoftudor asked: Are you having problems with people not coming up with enough ideas to post? Cause if so every time my roommate and i come up with one we can start posting it or submit it if you would like.

Yes, unfortunately we don’t get many submissions, and try as I might sometimes I just can’t think of any either. If you’d like to submit your ideas go right ahead!

Not a meme, but I get a kick out of this one every time I go through my pictures.

Anonymous asked: Antonia Fraser > Allison Weir. I try to avoid Weir as often as possible, to be honest.

ravachu asked: In terms of fiction, I've found the Shardlake series by C. J. Samson to be very entertaining. It focuses on a lawyer who has various dealings with the Tudor court and some of its major players; such as Cromwell, Richard Rich, Thomas Seymour as well as a spectrum of the Queens that Henry had. It's a gripping series that I would thoroughly recommend to fans of the period.

Book Recommendations

Here is a list of general good nonfiction for the time period.
The Rise and Fall of Anne Boleyn by Warnicke, She-Wolves by Helen Castor a non-fiction over the queens who ruled before Elizabeth. Then as for historical fiction Mistresses of Henry 8th by Kelly Hart is a very good read.

Anonymous asked: i read Margaret George's "The Autobiography of Henry VIII: With Notes by His Fool, Will Somers" it is a novel but strictly biographic so there have been no changes of any sort and give some really interesting background facts too... totally recommend it
