As of now, I have never seen an episode of HBO’s The Tudors. I hear so much about it and am considering watching. However, I get really picky about historical inaccuracies, etc. Thoughts? Is it worth watching?

It is amazing, and it is very accurate with the history, it also uses real quotes and outfits from the time period, best show HBO has

I had to pause it so often to rant at the blatant inaccurarcies that I couldn’t enjoy it.

My husband frequently reminded me while we’d watch that not everyone who watches knows every little detail. It’s good, but expect some grr’s

I’m picky too but I really enjoyed the series. The writers said that there are inaccuracies but they were writing to entertain, still love it

Yes there are historical inaccuracies. But what they get right (characters, music ect.) they get very right. well worth a watch.

Fun and sexy and interesting. But so inaccurate and that can be kind of annoying. Henry VIII dies still sexy, so…yeah.

If you are picky about inaccuracy I would say you may not like it as much as you could. It is a great show for what it is

Everyone’s ages goes down until the back end of the last season.

If you’re a stickler for accuracy, I don’t think that’s the show for you. They cut out an entire family line. Not a huge fan for that reason

I loved the costume design and a good majority of the actors. The costumes aren’t 100% on, but I think it was decent. :)

There are about a dozen or more inaccuracies, but there are some strong portrayals and it’s highly entertaining.

egbertz answered:
if you’re truly that picky, I wouldn’t watch it. They’re everywhere. They cut out one of Henry’s sisters entirely.

season 1 will kill you as they totally screw Margaret and Mary Tudor’s histories
